After being inspired by the professionalism and dedication of the NHS staff, I signed up to be a vaccine steward at my local vaccination centre. It has now been a month since my first shift and I’m very much enjoying being able to help. My responsibilities include filling out forms and other admin work, chatting with elderly people and sanitising chairs. The Islington centre has now vaccinated over 10,000 people and I’m proud to be a volunteer for the programme.
